Dong Nai bans bridge connecting Ho Chi Minh City to set off fireworks

To ensure safety during the fireworks display to welcome the New Year, Dong Nai prohibits people from crossing Hoa An bridge during New Year's Eve.

According to the announcement of Bien Hoa City People's Committee, from 10pm on February 9 (30th of Tet), cars from all directions will be banned from crossing Hoa An Bridge over Dong Nai River. By 11pm, all vehicles from all directions will be banned from crossing Hoa An Bridge and pedestrians will be banned from crossing the bridge.

The move was made by the government in a traffic diversion plan to serve the fireworks display right on the bridge on New Year's Eve to welcome the New Year of the Dragon 2024.

According to the leader of Bien Hoa City People's Committee, choosing Hoa An Bridge as the place to launch fireworks is to ensure many criteria such as safety, creating a large space to help people watch fireworks more easily; underwater effects make the performance more sparkling. Next to the bridge is a riverside flower road with many miniatures and light road spaces to serve people to enjoy spring and welcome Tet.

Hoa An Bridge is located on National Highway 1K, an important gateway from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong to Bien Hoa City, often crowded with traffic.

During the above time, vehicles from Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province to Dong Nai can follow the alternative route: Nguyen Ai Quoc Street (at Cau Hang roundabout) - Nguyen Thi Ton - Dang Van Tron; or Nguyen Ai Quoc Street (at Cau Hang roundabout) - Nguyen Tri Phuong - Dang Van Tron.

From Dong Nai center to Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, follow the directions of Nguyen Ai Quoc - Phan Dinh Phung - Hung Dao Vuong - Ha Huy Giap - Dang Van Tron - Nguyen Tri Phuong (or Nguyen Thi Ton) - Nguyen Ai Quoc (at the roundabout of Cau Hang, Buu Hoa ward).

In addition, the authorities will arrange to regulate, divide traffic, and guide traffic depending on the actual situation on the roads in the center of Bien Hoa City on New Year's Eve.

Previously, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province decided to replace the fireworks display location in Bien Hoa city from the provincial stadium to Hoa An bridge. In addition to Bien Hoa, Long Khanh city and Xuan Loc district also organized high-altitude fireworks displays for about 15 minutes to welcome the new year.
