On the morning of October 7, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union to organize the 2023 Children's Contest - Forum.

The 2023 Thua Thien Hue Provincial Children's Forum - Competition has the participation of children representing 9 districts, towns and Hue city in the province.

The contest is organized with the aim of creating a healthy and useful playground, helping children to interact and exchange learning experiences and group activities. At the same time, through the contest - forum, children can speak up for themselves, demonstrating their right to participate in social issues related to them.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2023 Children's Forum, Ms. Phan Minh Nguyet - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province affirmed that the work of protecting, caring for and educating children has always been directed and implemented by all levels and sectors. Children are increasingly living in a safe and healthy environment, developing comprehensively and fully exercising their basic rights as stipulated in the Law on Children. In particular, Thua Thien Hue province always cares about and takes care of the lives of children in difficult circumstances, helping them enjoy social security policies according to regulations.

However, in addition to the achieved results, the work of protecting, caring for and educating children still faces many difficulties and challenges. Abuse, abuse, violence, children breaking the law, children in traffic accidents, children in accidents and drowning... still exist and are complicated. A number of children are at risk of falling into special circumstances. The lack of entertainment venues for children is still quite common in many localities...

“Therefore, through this Contest - Forum, you will represent your voice, send messages and requests to all levels and departments about building a safe, healthy and suitable living environment for children; request to strengthen the work of preventing and combating accidents, drowning, school violence or warning and minimizing risks and dangers from the negative side of the Internet; create many useful playgrounds and forums for children to participate. Please speak up about your desire to exercise your rights, and at the same time demonstrate your responsibility in exercising those rights.

Hopefully the contest will bring the children the most interesting experiences and after the forum, they will become active young propagandists, contributing to spreading and communicating good messages to their peers as well as the community", said the Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province.

The 2023 Thua Thien Hue Provincial Children's Forum consists of two parts: online and in-person. The online part took place from July 27 to September 17, 2023.

At the live competition, teams will send representatives to participate in 3 competitions, respectively: computer knowledge competition; propaganda drawing presentation and skit competition.

Through the competitions, children will demonstrate their understanding of the Law on Children and Children's Rights, aiming to build a safe, friendly, equal and healthy living environment for children.

At the end of the 2023 Children's Forum - Competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 14 prizes, including 9 overall prizes and 5 secondary prizes. The Quang Dien district team won the first overall prize; the second prize went to A Luoi district and Huong Thuy town.

The team from Huong Thuy town excellently won the prize for the most favorite propaganda poster on social networks, with 5,271 interactions on the Facebook page "Tuoi Tre Thua Thien Hue".
