Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting to listen to the report on the implementation status and commitment to the progress of the Sunbay Park Hotel & Resort Project.

According to the representative of Sun Bay Ninh Thuan Joint Stock Company, the Sunbay Park Hotel & Resort project has disbursed about 4,500 billion VND, of which tower C has completed the rough construction, finished up to the 40th floor and roof, installed equipment, and interior up to the 18th floor; tower B has completed the rough construction, completed painting up to the 38th floor, installed ceiling up to the 28th floor, installed wooden doors up to the 19th floor, installed floors up to the 18th floor; tower A has completed part of the foundation. During the investment process, the project encountered many difficulties, and was approved by the Provincial People's Committee to adjust the completion time and put into operation of towers B and C to April 2024; completed and put into operation of tower A in October 2024. However, up to now, the extension period has expired but the project has not had a feasible solution to access the next source of investment capital. The estimated investment capital to complete Towers B and C is about 1,200 billion VND. Thereby, the company hopes to continue to extend the project completion time; support legal procedures to be eligible for investment loans.

Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that although the Provincial People's Committee has created all conditions for investors to implement the project, the SunBay Park Hotel & Resort project is still behind schedule, affecting the socio-economic situation, security and order, wasting resources, and affecting the investment environment of the province. He suggested that SunBay Ninh Thuan Joint Stock Company should study restructuring and continue to seek solutions to promptly complete buildings B and C of the project. There should be solutions to liquidate projects to recover capital and soon fulfill tax obligations to the state. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to consult on legal regulations to continue supporting investors in removing difficulties of the project; relevant departments and branches should strengthen inspection of project-related contents.
