On the morning of May 14, Comrade Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to congratulate Most Venerable Thich Thanh Van, Head of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda, Tan Hung Ward and Most Venerable Thich Thanh Dung, Deputy Head of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, abbot of Linh Thong Pagoda (Hai Duong City) on the occasion of Buddha's Birthday 2024 - Buddhist calendar 2568.
Comrades: Nguyen Van Phu, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Minh Hung, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office, Department of Home Affairs, Hai Duong City also attended.
Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang acknowledged and highly appreciated the important contributions and companionship of dignitaries, monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the province and of Most Venerable Thich Thanh Van and Most Venerable Thich Thanh Dung with Party committees, authorities, and Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in building the great national unity bloc and implementing socio-economic development tasks in recent times.
On the occasion of Buddha's birthday 2024 - Buddhist calendar 2568, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang sent his best wishes to Venerable Thich Thanh Van, Venerable Thich Thanh Dung and other dignitaries, monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province. He also briefly informed the Venerables, dignitaries and Buddhists about some of the socio-economic achievements of Hai Duong province in the first 4 months of 2024.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang expressed his hope that the Venerables would continue to set an example, propagate and encourage monks, nuns and Buddhists to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies; and make more positive contributions to the development of the province in general and Buddhism in particular. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also suggested that in the coming time, the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee should have more practical and meaningful activities, working together with the Party Committee and the government in socio-economic development, and joining hands to build Hai Duong City, Hai Duong Province into a livable place.
Most Venerable Thich Thanh Van and Most Venerable Thich Thanh Dung expressed their joy and gratitude for the attention of the provincial leaders to the activities of Buddhism. The Venerables also affirmed that the Provincial Buddhist Sangha will continue to promote its role in building the great national unity bloc; propagandize and mobilize dignitaries, monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province to continue to unite and help each other; accompany local Party committees and authorities to well implement all policies of the Party and laws of the State; actively participate in social security activities and build the homeland.
