Sharing after the match Vietnam vs Syria
Speaking at a post-match press conference, Syria coach Hector Cuper said:
"Syria has about 15 players playing for the national team for the first time. They are not used to playing in high humidity. In the second half we played better, better than in the previous two matches. Syria needs more time to perfect their game.
I congratulate the victory of the Vietnamese team".
He added: "The crowd was very large and the home team did well to attract a large number of spectators to the stadium. The Vietnamese team played better and deserved to win 1-0."
The Argentine strategist praised his colleague Philippe Troussier: "As I know, the coach of the Vietnamese national team also leads the U23 team.
He had good tactics and the Vietnamese team controlled the ball well, making Syria deadlocked. Overall, coach Troussier did very well in this match."
Meanwhile, coach Troussier was satisfied with the result, but he admitted that the team still had errors:
"I'm satisfied, we won and left an impression. I put pressure on myself, hoping the team will complete the task well.
I am satisfied after two wins, no goals conceded and two goals scored from open play."
Talking about the performance of the Vietnamese team in the last two matches, midfielder Quang Hai said: "All the players brought emotions to the fans.
The fans also give the players great motivation. We always tell each other that the whole team must work hard step by step and try to improve every match."
Quang Hai sent his thanks to the fans in Nam Dinh in particular and the whole country in general for cheering for the team in the match against Syria: "Fans are the motivation that helps the players to be confident, determined and bring the most emotional matches."
The Vietnamese team completed its goal by winning two matches against Hong Kong (China) and Syria.
