The 2-0 victory over Palestine helped the Vietnamese team move up strongly in the FIFA rankings.

As expected by fans, coach Philippe Troussier and his team defeated the Palestine team 2-0 in a friendly match at Thien Truong Stadium (Nam Dinh). Cong Phuong and Pham Tuan Hai scored for the Vietnamese team in the 62nd and 78th minutes of the match.
According to Footballranking , this victory helped the Vietnamese team accumulate 4.91 points to raise the total score to 1,243.14 points, thereby increasing 2 ranks from 95th to 93rd on the FIFA rankings.
In the group above, Beni was deducted 14.39 points after the loss to Mozambique, leaving them with only 1,233.64 points and dropping from 93rd to 95th place. Syria's current 94th place remains unchanged despite being deducted 1.40 points after the draw with Malaysia on September 6.

With this score, the team from the archipelago is predicted to be the Southeast Asian representative with the strongest rise in the FIFA rankings. Accordingly, Indonesia may jump 4 more places on the FIFA rankings, reaching 146th place in the world.
