Vietnam women's team practice ball feel exercises
After a long sleep to regain strength, the Vietnamese women's team had their first training session in Napier (New Zealand).
Although they had just gone through a journey that lasted nearly 24 hours (3 flights), Huynh Nhu and her teammates were very urgent because there was not much time left to prepare for the World Cup.
Vietnamese players have to quickly get used to the cold weather in New Zealand, especially in the late afternoon when the temperature drops below 10 degrees Celsius.
To avoid catching a cold, the Vietnamese female players were required to wear thick coats. All were very active and tried hard to do the exercises according to the instructions of the coaching staff to quickly adapt to the change of time zone and weather.
With the physical foundation that has been trained in recent training sessions in Germany, Poland and the training time at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center before leaving, in general, the whole team is getting into the rhythm well and completing the exercises.
Head of the delegation Truong Hai Tung said: “The Vietnamese women’s team has a route according to the set plan. Although the Vietnamese team arrived earlier than the scheduled time of the World Cup, FIFA and the local organizing committee sent many officials to enthusiastically welcome the team, arrange and organize for the team to continue the flight to Napier.
The players are all proactive in moving, eating and preparing warm equipment so as not to be surprised by the cold weather here."
The training session lasted for an hour with ball feel exercises. Tomorrow, the Vietnamese women's team will have two training sessions to improve their physical strength and regain their best condition for the upcoming journey.
