Vietnam women's team awarded 1 billion VND
This is the reward that TCP Vietnam Company gives to the girls in red shirts after their 4 consecutive SEA Games championships.
It is also a source of motivation for the Vietnamese women's team towards the journey at the 2023 World Cup.
Speaking at the ceremony, VFF General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi said: “The history of Vietnamese football officially turned a new page when our golden girls won tickets to the 2023 World Cup.
On the journey to the open sea, we have the opportunity to meet and compete with very strong opponents such as the US, Netherlands and Portugal women's teams.
But nothing can be stronger than determination, fighting spirit, and dedication to fans and to the country's football.
On behalf of VFF, the entire coaching staff and the team, I would like to sincerely thank TCP VN Company and Red Bull brand, along with other units, for the timely and practical spiritual encouragement.
Meanwhile, coach Mai Duc Chung also shared some notable things after the recent training trip in Germany.
“The Vietnamese women's team and I would like to thank the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the VFF and the German Football Federation for supporting us during this training trip.
This is a meaningful training session for the Vietnamese women's team. In addition to professional quality, we also strengthen physical fitness.
In addition, the success of the women's team is thanks to the support of overseas Vietnamese in Germany and Poland in food, living and especially spiritual aspects.
During our 21 days in Europe, we trained and played against 4 quality teams.
The Vietnamese women's team may not calculate the score, the coaching staff wants the players to be comfortable, because this is a stepping stone for the World Cup.
We have two more friendly matches, these are quality opponents to prepare for the 2023 World Cup," said coach Mai Duc Chung.
In the coming time, Coach Mai Duc Chung and his colleagues will continue to screen and select the best squad to aim for the 2023 World Cup.
