Useful tournament for Vietnamese girls
Thus, the Vietnamese women's team has ended its journey at the international friendly tournament in China. Coach Mai Duc Chung said: "We also determined that this is an international friendly tournament, an opportunity for young athletes who rarely compete to compete on the national team with their seniors to compete and learn. For this tournament, we aim to explore the strength of teams like Uzbekistan, because these are direct competitors with the Vietnamese women's team in the Asian region."
“For the match against the Chinese women's team, this is a team that is rated higher than us because their achievements in the region and in the world are both good. We need to learn and accumulate the best experience for next year. This tournament is a stepping stone for the Vietnamese women's team. In fact, this year, we do not have many international tournaments. Recently, Hanoi Club had an international tournament with clubs from China and the Philippines, along with Thai Nguyen T&T Club. Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club also competed in the Asian Women's Cup C1. The remaining teams have not competed internationally. Meanwhile, Vietnamese women's football currently needs many international matches to compete and learn. Therefore, this international friendly tournament is very useful. The purpose is to train and let the players get used to the high intensity of training and competition to prepare for the important tasks of next year," added coach Mai Duc Chung.
