Previously, on December 31, 2023, Nguyen Quoc Cuong proactively went to the Criminal Police Department to surrender to ask for leniency from the law. Cuong admitted to operating a loan sharking business, with an interest rate of 480%/year and illegally profiting hundreds of millions of dong.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department is preparing a case and processing Nguyen Quoc Cuong.

The Criminal Police Department also added that in the first 15 days of the peak of the campaign to suppress crimes related to black credit, 11 special projects were established to combat and arrest 38 subjects for the acts of "loan sharking in civil transactions", "Extortion of property", "Robbery of property"...
