Today, March 16, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, organized the final round of the 3rd Quang Tri Province English Club, Team, and Group Competition in 2024.
In the final round, there were 6 teams from high schools: Quang Tri town, Dong Ha, Cua Tung, Gio Linh, Huong Hoa and Ben Hai Secondary and High School with 18 students competing in 3 competitions including: "Mastering English", "English Talent" and "English Confidence" with topics of interest to young people such as learning skills, starting a business, choosing a career and integrating in the globalization era.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the team of Quang Tri Town High School, the unit that has won the First Prize for 3 consecutive years at the competition; awarded the Second Prize to the team of Gio Linh High School; awarded 1 Third Prize to Dong Ha High School. In addition, the jury also awarded 1 prize to the team with the most impressive "English Talent" performance; 2 prizes to the contestant with the best "English Competence" performance and 5 teams with the most popular performance on social networks as voted by the online community.
After more than 2 months of implementation, the Organizing Committee of the contest received 36 entries from 30 teams of high schools in the province. The teams participated in the contest with a serious and responsible spirit; the quality of the entries was good, creative, invested, clearly expressing their views on issues of interest to young people.
This is the third time the English club, team and group competition has been held in Quang Tri. The competition is a useful playground, meaningfully promoting teaching and learning in schools; thereby helping union members and young people develop their thinking and critical thinking skills; enhance communication and presentation skills; help students have the opportunity to exchange, practice and improve their English skills; promote the movement of learning and practicing, forming the habit of using English in the young generation.
At the same time, the playground contributes to creating conditions for students to practice and reach regional and national playgrounds.
