'Unique Tra Vinh': Crispy dried coconut yogurt with 6 flavors, strange but delicious

In early 2022, Cau Ke Wax Coconut Processing Company Limited (Vicosap) launched a very 'unique' product, crispy dried wax coconut yogurt.

Yogurt is fermented directly from the “resin” of wax coconut (thick wax coconut water, clear as dew). Then, it is dried using advanced Japanese freeze-drying technology, helping to preserve the nutrients as well as the fatty aroma of wax coconut, the light sour taste of yogurt. This is the first yogurt product made from wax coconut in Vietnam.

After nearly a year of launching, the product has been very well received by the market, especially by young people. This is the motivation for Vicosap to launch 5 more lines of crispy dried yogurt products with 5 flavors: durian, banana, gac, dragon fruit, pandan leaves.

Yogurt contains many beneficial bacteria to support better digestion. In addition, the product can replace traditional jams because it has little sugar, no color, no artificial sweeteners, especially no preservatives, completely natural. The product lines are very popular with specialty stores specializing in clean food. In particular, it is distributed on most popular online sales channels.

Sharing with NNVN Newspaper, Mr. Tran Duy Linh, Director of Vicosap Company, confided: These are the brainchildren that he has cherished for a long time, is very fond of and has been exclusively registered by Vicosap in the market. In the near future, he also hopes that higher-end segments such as restaurant chains, 4-5 star hotels, and large coffee chains will welcome them as a bridge to bring the product to consumers. Currently, Vicosap is also offering the product to foreign markets, especially testing the export of the first batch to the US market.

He added: To export to the US, we have to re-process it to meet their requirements. Japan's requirements are even more difficult, we need imported milk for fermentation. In the future, Vicosap will introduce more product lines about this wax coconut, especially dried products so that we can preserve it for a long time and travel far. In addition, the product has a characteristic flavor that is closest to the original wax coconut.
