On the evening of April 17, the Award Ceremony of the Pan Pacific Hanoi Painting Competition on the theme "The World Around Me" took place at the Pan Pacific Hotel (Ba Dinh, Hanoi). Launched on September 23, 2024, with the support of the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, the competition has become a large-scale art playground, a place to foster young talents and disabled artists across the country.
With an open theme that encourages groundbreaking works, this year's competition promises to bring new perspectives on nature, environment, society, global inventions and community engagement.
In this year's competition, a special highlight that attracted the attention of the media and the public was the unique artistic performance of talented chef Zack Truong. The chef brought an impressive "painting" performance using completely edible food ingredients.
Using his skillful hands and his flair for combining colors from vegetables, sauces and spices, he created a vibrant work of art right on stage. This performance not only demonstrates unlimited creativity in art but also opens up new ideas about sustainability and the connection between cuisine and other art forms, promising to bring a new and interesting perspective to the Pan Pacific Hanoi Painting Competition 2025./.
