Leaders of Turkish ministries and sectors said that many businesses and investors from this country wish to be present in Vietnam and participate in large infrastructure projects.
Speaking at the Vietnam - Turkey business forum on the morning of November 30 in the capital Ankara, Mr. Cagatay Ozden, Head of Asia Pacific Department, Ministry of Commerce of Turkey, said that recently many large enterprises of this country have participated in infrastructure projects in Vietnam.
According to Mr. Cagatay Ozden, many Turkish enterprises have strengths in building infrastructure projects, providing services such as building airports and ports and wish to invest and cooperate in large infrastructure projects in Vietnam.
In addition to IC Itas, a member of IC Holdings, which won the bid for the Long Thanh airport passenger terminal project, there is also a $250 million project by Hayat, a corporation specializing in manufacturing household appliances and building industrial parks. This company also wants to expand its investment in Vietnam.
In addition, Turkey has many potential businesses in the fields of industry, pharmaceuticals, and Halal products. Financial technology businesses in this country are also ready to cooperate with Vietnam, with the support of the two governments .

Mr. Volkan Agar, Deputy Minister of Trade of Türkiye, assessed that more and more businesses are realizing the importance of Vietnam when looking for investment opportunities. Türkiye has many similarities.
"Vietnam is an economic powerhouse in the region thanks to its young population. We consider it an important partner to penetrate the ASEAN market. This is a great opportunity for our businesses," he said, adding that the two countries have many areas of cooperation such as high technology and defense technology.
Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Faith Kacir said that the country's defense industry exports are expected to reach $6 billion by 2023. The country is ready to cooperate with Vietnamese enterprises in the industrial sector.
Speaking at the forum, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh cited the example of Turkish enterprises participating in a consortium that won the bid to build a passenger terminal at Long Thanh airport worth VND35,000 billion, affirming that he would create the most favorable conditions for enterprises from this country to invest in Vietnam.

The Government leader said that it will focus on improving the business investment environment, administrative procedures, and removing obstacles for businesses. Vietnam will also promote infrastructure construction and reduce logistics costs for businesses. High-quality human resources will be trained to meet business needs.
"Open policies, smooth infrastructure, smart management," the Prime Minister said, adding that the two countries will negotiate a Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Vietnam has asked Türkiye to recognize it as a full market economy and move towards upgrading relations.
Vietnam prioritizes attracting investment in the fields of digital transformation, circular economy, sharing economy, taking science and technology, startups, and innovation as driving forces for development.
