Vietnamese enterprises have invested about 3 billion USD in Russia, while 200 Russian enterprises have invested 1 billion USD in Vietnam. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that investment by enterprises must increase to match the excellent relationship between the two countries.
On the afternoon of September 9 (local time), within the framework of his official visit to the Russian Federation, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received representatives of the Vietnam Business Association in Russia.

Reporting to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, business representatives reflected on the advantages and difficulties in the process of investing and doing business in Russia. The representative of the Vietnam - Russia oil and gas joint venture (RUSVIETPETRO) said that after more than 1 year of establishment in Russia, the enterprise had its first oil flow and the application of science and technology had helped reduce costs. The enterprise proposed that the Russian side support tax and sign projects on the basis of intergovernmental agreements. The representative of TH Group (TH RUS) shared about the journey of successfully building dairy farms and milk processing plants in Russia; proposed that the Russian side support logistics services, making it easier to transport goods, as well as loosening regulations on sending Vietnamese workers to Russia to overcome the labor shortage of enterprises. Listening to and taking note of the opinions of business representatives, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that Vietnam and the Russian Federation have a very good traditional friendship, being both special traditional friends and comprehensive strategic partners. The National Assembly Chairman welcomed Vietnamese businesses investing in Russia with about 3 billion USD, while Russia has 200 businesses investing in Vietnam with 1 billion USD. The National Assembly Chairman also said that the investment of businesses must increase to be commensurate with the extremely good relationship between the two countries.

The National Assembly Chairman asked the business community to continue to unite, comply with the laws of the host country, contribute to the development of both the Russian Federation and the homeland of Vietnam, and deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. The National Assembly Chairman asked the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia to continue promoting relations with localities, ministries and sectors of the two countries, and promptly find solutions to ensure legal issues to help children of the Vietnamese community study in Russia. The National Assembly Chairman also asked Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha to listen to the proposals of businesses and continue to make recommendations to the Russian side at the 25th meeting of the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and science and technology, taking place on September 11-12. On the morning of September 10 (local time), continuing his official visit to the Russian Federation, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received Mr. Vasily Golubev, Governor of Rostov province.
