Nguyen Quang Thuan failed to cause any surprise in the men's 400m medley.

But unfortunately, the Vietnamese athletes all played below their ability and did not bring home any more medals.

The earliest competition was Taekwondo, athlete Pham Dang Quang lost to Lee Gibeom in the round of 16 of the men's 63kg weight class.

Next, Le Anh Tai lost in the round of 16 of the men's 90kg Judo category to Aram Grigorian (UAE).

The most anticipated competition on the competition day of September 29 of the Vietnamese delegation is Shooting.

But unfortunately, all 3 Vietnamese athletes failed in the finals of the 10m moving target rifle individual and team mixed event.

In Tennis, Ly Hoang Nam lost to Hong Seongchan (Korea) 1-6, 4-6 in round 3 and was eliminated.

On the evening of September 29, two swimmers Nguyen Quang Thuan and Tran Hung Nguyen entered the final of the men's 400m medley.

However, the two Vietnamese athletes could not cause any surprise when they finished with times of 4 minutes 19 seconds 52 and 4 minutes 26 seconds 44, respectively, ranking in the last two positions.

In this competition, Japanese swimmer Honda Tomoru won the gold medal with a time of 4 minutes 11 seconds 40, followed by Seto Daiya (4 minutes 12 seconds 88).

Just minutes after the defeat of his two teammates, Nguyen Huy Hoang entered the final of the men's 1,500m freestyle event.

Although he was continuously in the medal group, in the last 100m he was overtaken by Takeda Shogo (Japan) and regrettably lost the bronze medal.

Huy Hoang's achievement was 15 minutes 04 seconds 06, faster than SEA Games 32 but still a few seconds behind the achievement he achieved at ASIAD 18.

Previously, on the competition day of September 25, the Vietnamese sports delegation won 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals in Shooting (silver medal), Rowing (2 bronze medals) and Taekwondo (bronze medal).
