The Vietnamese rowing team won the bronze medal in the women's heavyweight quad sculls.
Four athletes Dinh Thi Hao, Du Thi Bong, Ha Thi Vui and Pham Thi Hue ranked third with a time of 6 minutes 52 seconds 35. The first and second teams were China (6 minutes 42 seconds 03) and Japan (6 minutes 47 seconds 04) respectively.
This is the first medal of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 19th ASIAD.
Pham Thi Hue shared: " I am honored to win this medal. This is the effort of the four of us to bring glory to Vietnamese sports. Even though it is only a bronze medal, it is a motivation for us to work together ."

Also this morning, the athlete duo Nguyen Thi Giang and Pham Thi Thao only finished 6th overall in the women's double sculls final.
On the morning of the competition day, September 24, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation received more good news from Taekwondo.
Martial artist Tran Ho Duy has won the right to enter the semi-finals of the performance category. He is sure to win a medal as this category has 2 bronze medals for the losers in the semi-finals. This afternoon at 2pm, Tran Ho Duy will meet Kang Wan-jin of Korea.
On the first day of the congress, the Vietnamese sports delegation competed in 14 events including shooting, boxing, men's football, table tennis, swimming, chess, fencing, e-sports, judo, rowing, taekwondo, tennis, gymnastics, and wushu.
