Following the success of the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation at previous congresses, the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation is preparing to conquer the largest regional sports arena for the disabled. This is an international sporting event with a strong humanitarian character, of great significance, aiming to promote good relations, solidarity, friendship, and mutual understanding among countries in the ASEAN region.

This is also a very fierce competition, gathering many of the top disabled athletes in the region and will be a great opportunity for Vietnamese disabled athletes to demonstrate their extraordinary will and determination to overcome their own obstacles, confidently rise above themselves, and at the same time help them affirm their desire to win, integrate and contribute. On behalf of the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation, weightlifter Le Van Cong promises to complete all assigned tasks with the will to compete with all his might, with the spirit of noble sportsmanship to achieve the highest results at the Games .

Speaking at the ceremony to direct and assign tasks to the Vietnamese Disabled Sports Delegation, Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong said: "The Vietnamese Disabled Sports Delegation participates in the Asean Para Games this time with many goals: striving to achieve the best results in the Games, exchanging and learning, improving achievements, surpassing ourselves, conveying to international friends the image of the country and Vietnamese people for peace, friendship, friendliness but resilience, with a strong will to rise up. Therefore, I hope that all cadres, coaches, and athletes of the Vietnamese Disabled Sports Delegation are fully aware of the responsibility as well as the honor and pride that the country is entrusting them with, in order to successfully complete their tasks at the Games."
Vietnam Paralympic Sports Delegation Ready to Attend ASEAN Para Games
The Vietnamese disabled sports delegation attending the 12th Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia consists of 164 members, including 16 delegation officials; 21 coaches and 127 athletes (including 2 guide athletes) competing in 8 out of 13 sports of the Games: athletics, swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, chess, judo and boccia.
