BSR Youth Union and PV Power pay tribute to meritorious people in Son Tay district, Quang Ngai

The Youth Union of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) and PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) went to the mountainous area of ​​Son Tay district to present gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, wounded soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions.

This is an activity to celebrate the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023) and is part of the joint program to implement "Journey of gratitude and traditional education" of BSR Youth Union and PV Power. The gift-giving program was held at Dakdrinh Hydropower Joint Stock Company (a member unit of PV Power).

At the program, the Youth Union of the two units presented 40 gifts (20 gifts for each unit), totaling 20 million VND to 20 people, who are Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions in difficult circumstances in Son Tay district, Quang Ngai. In addition, the Youth Union of BSR and PV Power also sent organizations to reward Youth Union members with good achievements in Youth Union activities in 2022 and presented gifts to Youth Union members in especially difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Huy Du - Secretary of BSR Youth Union shared that the program is an annual social security activity, to show gratitude, remember and repay the merits of previous generations who heroically sacrificed for the cause of protecting the Vietnamese Fatherland.

“On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023) and within the joint program of implementing the "Journey to repay gratitude and educate traditions" of the BSR Youth Union and PV Power, BSR and PV Power youth union members had the opportunity to come to Son Tay district to carry out the program of repaying gratitude to the people. Through this, BSR youth union members vow to try their best to contribute their efforts and youth to the development of the country, as well as to social security activities of Quang Ngai and the whole country, to be worthy of the efforts of generations of fathers and ancestors who sacrificed for independence, freedom and happiness", said comrade Nguyen Huy Du - Secretary of BSR Youth Union.

Speaking in gratitude, comrade Nguyen Huyen My - Secretary of PV Power Youth Union also expressed her gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their bodies and blood for the cause of national independence.

“The PV Power Youth Union members will strive to be worthy of the merits of the previous generations who fell for the freedom, happiness and independence of our nation today. Also at the program, BSR and PV Power youth union members visited and learned about the structure and working process of Dakdrinh Hydropower Plant; visited the hydropower plant, hydropower dam, burned incense at the Dakdrinh Hydropower Dam memorial and gave gifts to employees who are performing their duties at the hydropower plant.

Previously, the BSR Youth Union and PV Power also held a candlelighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at Dam Toai tunnel (Binh Chau commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province) and presented 108 gifts worth 54 million VND to heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions in difficult circumstances in Binh Son district.
