Mr. Huynh Dam, former member of the Party Central Committee, former President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, also attended.
With a sense of responsibility, democracy and solidarity, the Congress completed all the contents of the program. The Congress unanimously resolved to approve the Report of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th tenure, 2019-2024, to be submitted to the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 2024-2029 tenure.
The Congress agreed on the direction and objectives, set out 10 specific targets and 6 action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term, including: Strengthening propaganda, mobilization, gathering people of all walks of life, strengthening social consensus, promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc. Improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, implementing democracy, participating in Party and State building. Encouraging people of all walks of life to compete, be creative, and effectively carry out campaigns and emulation movements. Promoting the role of mastery and self-management of the people, building a united, prosperous and happy residential area. Improving the effectiveness of people's foreign affairs and work with overseas Vietnamese. Continuing to innovate the organizational structure, content and methods of operation; improving the capacity of the Front's staff at all levels.
Along with the approval of the Report reviewing the activities of the Central Committee, the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, 2019-2024, the Congress discussed and unanimously approved the amended and supplemented Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Congress approved the number of members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024-2029, including 405 members, the Presidium including 72 members, the Standing Committee including 6 members; and non-professional Vice Chairmen including 8 members.
The Congress elected 397 members to join the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. At the first conference of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 67 members were elected to join the Presidium, 4 members to join the Standing Committee, and 7 members to join the non-professional Vice Chairmen.
Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, 9th tenure, 2019-2024 term, continues to be highly trusted and elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, 10th tenure, 2024-2029 term.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, holds the position of Vice President - General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, 10th tenure; Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy, member of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, holds the position of Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, 10th tenure; Ms. To Thi Bich Chau, member of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, holds the position of Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, 10th tenure.
Seven members of the Presidium of the 10th Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee were democratically elected to hold the position of non-professional Vice Presidents of the 10th Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, including: Ms. Ha Thi Khiet, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization; Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon, Deputy Supreme Patriarch of the Council of Patriarchs, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; Priest Tran Xuan Manh, Chairman of the Central Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics; Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, on behalf of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 2024-2029 term, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, respectfully thanked the Congress for its high trust and democratic consultation in electing 397 members to the Committee, 67 members to the Presidium; and in electing the Chairman, Vice Chairman - General Secretary, 2 full-time Vice Chairmen and 7 part-time Vice Chairmen.
Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized: Deeply aware of our great honor and responsibility, we promise to be dedicated to the assigned tasks, promote our intelligence, uphold our responsibility, work to the best of our ability; overcome all difficulties, strive to complete the assigned tasks in the best way. Focus on synchronously, flexibly, and creatively implementing tasks and solutions, maintaining solidarity, unanimity, and consensus, and successfully implementing the directions, goals, and tasks set forth by the Congress.

In his closing speech at the Congress, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien emphasized that the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is the most vivid and beautiful symbol, demonstrating the strength of the great national unity bloc.
According to President Do Van Chien, national solidarity is an extremely precious tradition of our nation, built and nurtured by generations of ancestors with sweat, blood, hard work and sacrifice, with the will, faith and aspiration of the Vietnamese people who love peace, humanity and justice; the blood and bones of the children of Vietnam have merged into the motherland to become golden bricks to build the bronze wall of the Vietnamese Fatherland. Therefore, no hostile force can divide our great solidarity.
From the Congress forum, the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee called on all classes, social strata, people of all ethnic groups, religions, intellectuals, artists, businessmen, enterprises, and overseas Vietnamese to further promote patriotism, national pride, absolute trust in the leadership of the Party and the management of the State, contribute intelligence and efforts to constantly consolidate and strengthen the tradition and strength of great national unity, combined with the strength of the times, unanimously and jointly: Once discussed, it is agreed, once gone, it is achieved, once determined, the whole country will be united in building our beloved Vietnam into a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, prosperous, civilized, and happy country.
On October 18, immediately after the closing of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Standing Committee of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a press conference to announce the results of the Congress. Affirming to reporters of the press agency, Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized that, looking back at 40 years of implementing the Party's renovation policy, our country has achieved great achievements of historical significance: That is the institutional breakthrough, the breakthrough in building a synchronous and modern socio-economic structure system; the breakthrough in human resources. Such great achievements put the country in a position to converge all the factors to develop the country in a new, stronger stage, as General Secretary and President To Lam said, we will participate more in world politics, global economy and human civilization. The coordination between the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in recent times has been well implemented, in depth, with a high sense of responsibility from each side, promptly removing many difficulties and obstacles, effectively handling important, urgent, sensitive and complicated issues that have recently arisen in practice. Supplementing and perfecting institutions, policies and laws in the process of implementing the renovation policy, contributing to building and perfecting the socialist rule of law state. Since the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term, the National Assembly Standing Committee has increased consultation with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry on draft laws and draft resolutions. In particular, in organizing consultation with the public on the draft Land Law (amended), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee has actively organized conferences and seminars and received more than 12 million comments from organizations and individuals, making this activity a widespread political and legal activity across the country. Strengthening coordination in law-making is considered a highlight in the coordination activities between the two agencies.
