The provincial National Assembly delegation solicited opinions on the draft Law on Employment and Law on Health Insurance (amended)

On October 11, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation held a conference to collect opinions on the draft Law on Employment (amended) and the Law on Health Insurance (amended) to be submitted to the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly. Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired the conference; representatives from relevant departments, branches and localities also attended.

Delegates give comments on the draft Law on Employment (amended).

Giving opinions on the draft Law on Employment (amended), delegates discussed and contributed additional opinions on a number of contents, such as: Subjects regulated by the Law on Employment; online job exchange; unemployment insurance policy; support for vocational training and development of vocational skills, improving the quality of human resources; preferential treatment in recruitment, salary payment and job placement for workers who have been granted national vocational skills certificates; occupational codes and regulations on consultants, employment services; employment policy for youth; adjusting and supplementing a number of phrases and contents in a number of articles and clauses of the draft law...

The provincial National Assembly delegation and delegates gave their opinions on the draft Law on Health Insurance (amended).

Regarding the draft Law on Health Insurance (amended), delegates all agreed on the need to amend and supplement the current Law on Health Insurance to ensure the rights of health insurance participants and the payment capacity of the health insurance fund. At the same time, they contributed to a number of specific contents, such as: Expanding the subjects participating in compulsory health insurance; adjusting a number of contents to synchronize with the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and current regulations, increasing the diversity and flexibility of health insurance; supplementing regulations on the law on assigning the cost estimates for health insurance examination and treatment to provincial-level Social Insurance and health insurance examination and treatment facilities; reviewing and improving the quality of health insurance services to compete with other types of insurance; regulations to encourage people to have medical examination and treatment at the grassroots level, etc.

After listening to the opinions of the delegates, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, highly appreciated the detailed and thorough analysis of the provisions, issues and contents raised in the draft Law by the delegates, thereby contributing many quality and dedicated opinions to the draft Laws. The Provincial National Assembly Delegation will receive and synthesize all the opinions of the delegates to report to the Drafting Committee, and contribute opinions at the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly. The Provincial National Assembly Delegation also requested that after the conference, leaders of relevant departments and branches continue to study and contribute opinions on the above draft laws so that the policies are truly superior and highly feasible when promulgated and applied in practice.
