Within the framework of the visit and work in Quang Ninh, on the afternoon of September 17, a delegation from Fujian province, China led by comrade Tran Dong, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial People's Congress, surveyed the potential and strengths of tourism development in Ha Long Bay.

During the survey, the delegation listened to representatives of the Ha Long Bay Management Board introduce the beauty, potential and strengths of tourism development in the Bay. In particular, Ha Long Bay has been recognized by UNESCO three times as a world natural heritage. Along with exploitation and conservation, in recent times, Quang Ninh province has also paid special attention to environmental protection to ensure the goal of sustainable development. At the same time, it has promoted investment in infrastructure and improved the quality of tourism services to attract and best serve tourists when coming to Quang Ninh. Since the beginning of 2024, there have been 89,000 cruises bringing about 2.4 million visitors to Ha Long Bay, including nearly 1.3 million foreign visitors, with an estimated number of over 410,000 staying guests.

Mr. Tran Dong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial People's Congress, thanked Quang Ninh Province for the welcome and expressed his impression of the beauty of Ha Long Bay, as well as the province's innovative and creative ways of developing tourism and protecting the environment in Ha Long Bay.

Through the survey, the delegation of Fujian province will have more information and experience to apply in tourism development associated with environmental protection and promote the signed cooperative relationships between the two sides, especially in tourism development.
