Delegation from the US Embassy in Hanoi visited and worked in Tuyen Quang

On February 18, a delegation from the US Embassy in Hanoi led by Mr. Marc E. Knapper, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Vietnam, visited and worked in Tuyen Quang province.

Welcoming the delegation and attending the working session were Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Hoang Viet Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Department of Americas, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; leaders of a number of departments, branches, units, and the Provincial Business Association.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the provincial leaders, welcomed the delegation to visit and work in Tuyen Quang. The visit of the delegation of the US Embassy in Hanoi to Tuyen Quang is of great significance as Vietnam and the United States prepare to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (July 12, 1995 - July 12, 2025) and continue to establish a new historical period when the two countries officially upgrade their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace, Cooperation and Sustainable Development on September 10, 2023.

Ambassador Marc E. Knapper affirmed that he was very happy to come to Tuyen Quang for the first time, with many green, clean and beautiful natural landscapes, and many revolutionary historical relics related to the relationship between Vietnam and the United States; especially the Tan Trao National Special Historical Relic Site.

At the working session, the two sides agreed to support the provision of English programs, language training and teaching methods.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the Ambassador will pay attention to introducing suitable American business partners, learning about the province's geographical location, potential, and preferential investment policies to call for investment, in the spirit of mutual trust, mutual benefit, and sustainable development.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his sincere thanks to the Ambassador and the delegation for their trust in connecting and creating favorable conditions for Tuyen Quang in recent years. At the same time, he hoped that the Ambassador would continue to pay more attention to sharing and supporting Tuyen Quang in all economic, cultural and social fields, especially in developing education and applying advanced technology in the digital age, in which the United States is the world's leading power.
