With the ATP Finals 2023 championship in Turin (Italy) on November 20, Novak Djokovic has gained 1,300 more points, officially reaching the 400th week as world number one. The Serbian tennis player is now far ahead of second-ranked Federer (310 weeks) in terms of the number of weeks holding the ATP men's singles top spot.
The Serbian tennis player also has 98 ATP titles in his career and won the ATP Finals a record 7 times. In 2023, Djokovic won 7 titles including 3 Grand Slams, 1 ATP Finals, 2 ATP Masters 1000 and 1 ATP 250, although he only participated in 12 tournaments.

On the ATP men's singles rankings, Alcaraz is ranked 2nd with 8,865 points, Sinner is ranked 3rd with 7,600 points, Medvedev is ranked 4th (6,490 points). The 4 stars who have won tickets to the semi-finals of the ATP Finals 2023, including Djokovic, Alcaraz, Sinner and Medvedev, have scores far above the rest of the group.
Closing a successful 2023, Djokovic still shows great ambition for next season: "I will stay in the leading position as long as I want to continue, as long as I am able to beat the young players.
Why should I stop when I can still win the biggest titles? When my opponents start beating me consistently, maybe I will consider taking a break or even quitting tennis altogether.
Next year I still hope to do the best thing a tennis player can do, which is to win all 4 Grand Slams and win an Olympic gold medal. My body has allowed me to compete well this year, hopefully everything good will continue to come in 2024."
