(NLDO) – Three women in Ca Mau suffered burns after their relatives poured gasoline on their house and set it on fire at dawn.
A leader of the People's Committee of Hoa Thanh Commune, Ca Mau City, Ca Mau Province said that authorities are urgently investigating the case of pouring gasoline and setting fire to a house that injured 3 people that recently occurred in the locality.
The suspect was initially identified as Mr. PTS (52 years old, residing in Hoa Thanh commune). The victims were the suspect's mother and two sisters.
According to initial information, at around 2:22 a.m. on January 30, the house of Ms. PMC (45 years old, Mr. PTS's sister) was doused with gasoline and set on fire by someone outside.
The incident was reported to the local authorities. Upon receiving the information, the task force quickly arrived to protect the scene, collect information for the investigation and identify the suspect as Mr. PTS.
The incident left Mrs. PMC with minor burns; Mrs. LKA (73 years old, mother of Mr. PTS) with severe burns was transferred to a hospital in Can Tho City. Another victim, Mrs. PVD (48 years old, sister of Mr. PTS), with burns on her hands and feet is being treated at Ca Mau General Hospital.
The fire also damaged many properties in Mrs. C's house.
The cause of the incident is being investigated by the police.
