On August 10, Huong Tran - the ex-wife of actor Viet Anh attracted attention when she accused him of not asking about and providing for their child for the past year.
Huong Tran emphasized that the apartment she currently owns has nothing to do with Viet Anh and said she left empty-handed after the divorce.
“Divorced with no assets, left empty-handed. Married for 8 years, rented out the house so mother and child could move elsewhere,” Huong Tran shared.
Viet Anh and Huong Tran celebrated their son's birthday together in May 2022.
In the latest developments, Viet Anh said he has contacted his ex-wife and will find a way to resolve the issue between the two.
Previously, Huong Tran blocked all communication channels with Viet Anh. When the actor used another phone number to call, his ex-wife declared that she "didn't want to talk to him" and hung up.
"Huong and I divorced because of irreconcilable and irreconcilable conflicts and differences in opinions. Although we are no longer husband and wife, I always want to maintain a good relationship to raise our children together and give them the feeling that their parents are still there. Huong has confirmed and expressed this many times in the press.
After the divorce, I always tried to provide full support and take care of the house for both mother and child. The monthly expenses are also nearly 50 million, of which 20 million is for Dau's living expenses (the intimate name of Viet Anh and Huong Tran's son - PV), 15 million is for rent for Huong and her child, the remaining money is for kindergarten tuition at an international school, insurance, and other miscellaneous expenses (text messages and statements are available).
Even after the divorce, if Huong wants to buy something or occasionally travel, I still support her. Now Huong says I don't give her any money, as if I haven't given her any money since the divorce," the "Judge" actress affirmed.
Viet Anh added that in early 2023, his ex-wife had a new life. She and her lover bought a new house but still asked him to pay rent. Viet Anh did not agree, saying that she had her own life so he only cared about the children and from then on she changed her attitude.
Viet Anh knew that there was a conflict between him and his ex-wife and they could not find common ground, so he stopped providing child support since March of this year.
The actor admitted that he and his ex-wife could not find common ground in choosing a school for their child.
Viet Anh wants his child to attend a famous public elementary school near his grandmother's house to train him to be independent and self-study from a young age, and also to make it convenient for his grandmother to pick him up and take care of him. Meanwhile, his ex-wife insists that the child must attend an international school.
"When I refused, Huong thought I was stingy and refused to increase the child support, so I did that," Viet Anh said.
The actor said that after that, his ex-wife forbade him and his children from seeing Dau, blocked his phone and Facebook so they could not contact him. Therefore, Viet Anh stopped providing for his ex-wife since March this year.
He said that as long as Huong Tran agrees to let him see his child like before, the actor is ready to fulfill his responsibility.
Viet Anh was born in 1981 in Hanoi. He is known through a series of famous roles in VFC's television projects such as: "Running from the law", "When the birds return", "Love is inevitable", "Only love", "The judge", "Sinh tu", "Me cung", "Sunflower against the sun", "Ex-husband, ex-wife, ex-lover"...
