On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (August 1, 1993 - August 1, 2023) between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), President Vo Van Thuong exchanged congratulatory messages with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh exchanged congratulatory messages with Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
On the same day, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son exchanged congratulatory messages with Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to Vietnamese Ambassador to the UAE Nguyen Manh Tuan, over the past 30 years, the friendship and cooperation between the two countries have developed positively in many fields such as politics, diplomacy, trade, investment, labor and tourism. Political trust and mutual understanding between the two countries have been constantly strengthened.
Through maintaining delegation exchanges and high-level contacts, the political relationship between the two countries has become increasingly closer and more trustworthy. This is the foundation for cooperation between the two countries in many fields to achieve positive progress.
The visit to the UAE by Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan in May 2023 created new momentum for bilateral relations. Since May 2023, the UAE has actively implemented new cooperation proposals and proposals, with visits to Vietnam by Minister of State for International Trade at the Ministry of Economy, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi (June 5) and Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (June 13).
