On the occasion of the Japanese National Assembly convening a special session after the general election to re-elect the Prime Minister, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and President of the Senate, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory message to Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru on his re-appointment.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also sent a congratulatory letter to the re-election of Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives Nukaga Fukushiro and the new President of the Japanese House of Councilors Sekiguchi Masakazu.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Iwaya Takeshi on his re-appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

According to Reuters , Mr. Shigeru Ishiba will continue to hold the position of Prime Minister, according to the results of the National Assembly vote on November 11 with 221 votes out of 465 seats in the House of Representatives. This is the second time Japan has elected a Prime Minister in just over a month.
Prime Minister Ishiba is expected to announce a new cabinet later today, November 11.
Previously, Mr. Ishiba was elected as the 102nd Prime Minister of Japan in early October. He called for an extraordinary election on October 27 immediately after being elected as leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).
