After more than a month of operation, the riverside park in Thu Thiem urban area continues to be renovated, with many additional items built. The renovated section is 600 m long, 40 m wide on average, from the Saigon River tunnel to near Ba Son bridge, with a total area of nearly 20 hectares. The investment cost for the park is about 90 billion VND, from socialized sources.
In the center of the park, among the sunflower beds, is a working fountain. The fountain is designed in a circle, with a sunflower pattern painted in the middle.
Next to it is a solar power system (right corner) stylized in the shape of a sunflower, 4.8 m high, 5 m petal diameter. Solar energy contributes to saving electricity for park activities during the day such as water pumping, irrigation...
The section near the roof of the new Thu Thiem tunnel has been planted with more trees, grass, and the water flow has been cleared. The highlight is the old Ong Cay bridge which has been renovated and named the love bridge with its striking red color.
The bridge is 40 m long and 5 m wide, with red painted railings, re-tiled floors, and a lighting system, making it more spacious than at the end of 2023.
After being renovated, the love bridge attracted many visitors. A tour guide said that during Tet, he often leads foreign groups to enjoy the park.
The wharf, which used to be the old Thu Thiem ferry, has been renovated and is about to be put into operation, serving tourists to the park by water.

The main road, more than 600 meters long, next to the river has taken shape, with trees on both sides and granite sidewalks. On the road is a spring flower market that has been operating for over a week now.
Along with the above items, parking lots and public toilets are put into operation for people to conveniently come and have fun.
After nearly two months of operation, the riverside landscape with many types of trees has grown greener, gradually creating shade.
Mr. Le Van Minh, an employee of a tree company, is decorating colorful flower pots in a spring-themed miniature landscape in the park.
About 20,000 sunflowers planted for the Lunar New Year are gradually blooming, attracting many visitors.
"This is the first time I've gone to the park with my friends to hang out and take Tet photos. The space here is airy because it's near the riverbank, and it's not as crowded as the downtown area," said Vu Khanh Thuy (right corner), 23 years old, Binh Thanh district.
Some items require a long construction time and are large in scale, such as the ecological park (6-7 hectares wide), which is expected to be put into use in April. The tunnel roof area is expected to have some decorative structures such as: Ferris wheel, pedestrian bridge, landscape arch frame...
