On the evening of April 22, at the Center for Youth Activities and Training of Thanh Hoa Province (Sam Son City), the Provincial Ethnic Committee in coordination with the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union organized the Youth Entrepreneurship Forum in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas (EMMA) in 2024, with the participation of nearly 300 union members, youth, and outstanding students, examples of successful startups in EMMA.

The 2024 Youth Entrepreneurship Forum in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas (EMMA) with the participation of delegates and nearly 300 outstanding union members, youth, students, and successful startups in EMMAs.
Comrade Le Van Chau, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union delivered the opening speech at the forum.
Speaking at the opening of the forum, comrade Le Van Chau, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Thanh Hoa province emphasized: In 2016, the Government chose it as the National Startup Year and since then, the startup movement has spread widely throughout the country in general and Thanh Hoa province in particular. Clearly identifying the role of the Youth Union in supporting and accompanying young people to establish themselves and start a business, in recent times, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union has coordinated with the Provincial Ethnic Committee and other departments, branches and organizations to implement many practical and specific activities to encourage and promote the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among young people, supporting young people to gradually realize their dreams and startup ideas.
Youth Union and Association chapters across the province have organized a variety of propaganda activities to raise awareness among youth union members about the policies of the Party, the State, the province, and the locality on start-ups and innovative start-ups; and built channels for policy consultation and start-up issues.
Promoting activities to encourage and support young people to start businesses has been initially organized in a variety of ways such as: Launching the movement "Youth start-ups and careers" among union officials, union members, youth, and young entrepreneurs; implementing the model of "Pioneering Youth Union Secretary"; regularly organizing and supporting young people's start-up ideas from the contest "Start-up ideas among Thanh Hoa province's youth union members"; advising on building a preferential credit program to support young people to start businesses; effectively promoting capital sources to support young people to start businesses and careers. Advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue Plan No. 19/KH-UBND dated February 3, 2023 on supporting Thanh Hoa youth to start businesses in the period of 2023-2030, in which the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union continues to deploy activities to support Thanh Hoa youth to start businesses.
Besides the achieved results, the start-up and career movement among young people in general and ethnic minority and mountainous youth in particular still faces many difficulties and challenges and needs specific support solutions.
The Youth Entrepreneurship Forum in the Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Region is an opportunity for youth union members to meet, exchange, and listen to the sharing of leaders and startup experts on activities to support and accompany young people to start their own businesses and successful startups, and to share their arduous and glorious startup journeys. Thereby, promoting the spirit of solidarity, creativity, proactive exchange, and consultation with experts on startup issues among youth union members; at the same time, youth union members fully receive and absorb the comments and advice of experts to improve themselves and be steadfast and confident on the path to starting their own businesses and enriching themselves, their families, and society.

Comrade Le Minh Hanh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, shared about ethnic programs and policies in ethnic minority and mountainous areas and solutions to accompany young people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas to start businesses. Comrade Phung To Linh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, shared about solutions and programs of activities of the Youth Union to support and accompany young people to establish their careers in the period of 2021-2023 and suggested and discussed a number of solutions to arouse, encourage and promote the entrepreneurial spirit of young people in general, and ethnic minority and mountainous youth in particular, in the current period of deep international economic integration.
Mr. Do Minh Thuy, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, Vice President of the Thanh Hoa Young Entrepreneurs Association, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vinagreen Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, shared the limitations in starting a business that young union members are facing, and at the same time gave advice to young union members so that young people can be better prepared in starting a business.

Comrades: Mai Xuan Binh, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee; Le Van Chau, Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union, presented the plaque supporting economic development loans to youth union members in the districts of Nhu Thanh, Ba Thuoc, Cam Thuy, Ha Trung, Nghi Son town.
On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee supported 5 billion VND for the model of ethnic minority and mountainous youth economic development in the districts of Nhu Thanh, Ba Thuoc, Cam Thuy, Ha Trung, Nghi Son town from the capital source of the Project "Preferential credit program to support youth start-ups".
