Since 2018, MSF has attracted the participation of thousands of delegates and experts in the fields of technology, economics, education and public management, joining hands towards a sustainable development of Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening of the Forum, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Phuong highly appreciated the Forum's theme focusing on building an inclusive digital future for all people, especially vulnerable and disadvantaged groups in society, to ensure "no one is left behind" in the context of digital transformation.
At the same time, it said that, in its role as a general advisory body on the Socio-Economic Development Strategy, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has advised and submitted to competent authorities many mechanisms, policies, programs and projects to promote digital transformation, ensuring sustainable and equitable development.
According to Google's research on Vietnam's digital economy, it is forecasted that by 2030, the annual economic impact value of digital technology in Vietnam could reach VND1,733 trillion (equivalent to US$74 billion).
However, to achieve the goal of the National Strategy for Digital Economy and Digital Society Development: by 2030, digital skills will be universalized for all social classes, the rate of people of working age trained in basic digital skills reaching over 70% is a huge challenge; especially for vulnerable groups.
Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Phuong expressed his belief that the Forum will contribute to providing a comprehensive view of digital inclusion; through the Forum, organizations and individuals will have more motivation to cooperate together to build an inclusive digital future, aiming to support the disadvantaged and those who are vulnerable to falling behind in digital skills in society.

"Let's create an inclusive, sustainable, human-centered digital future together," said Mr. Choi Joo Ho.
Within the framework of the Forum, a high-level discussion session was held with the participation of experts from policy-making agencies, international organizations, social organizations, academia and businesses. Here, delegates focused on exchanging and discussing ways to promote digital inclusion through human development and technology, such as identifying challenges and opening up opportunities to build an inclusive digital society, where everyone, especially vulnerable groups, can access and utilize technology to improve the quality of life.
Also discussed are global and national perspectives on digital transformation in Vietnam, the impact of AI and new technologies in education, healthcare, livelihoods, optimizing the power and opportunities for each individual in addressing challenges from new forms of exclusion in digital transformation and the role of multi-stakeholder cooperation in developing inclusive technology solutions for vulnerable groups.

An important highlight of the MSF 2024 Forum is the launch of the Inclusive Tech Initiative initiated by the National Innovation Center (NIC), Ministry of Planning and Investment, with the support of Samsung Vietnam and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
This initiative reflects the spirit of social service, with the motto that technology should not only serve the advancement of a few but also bring value to the whole community. The main goal is to create a bridge between technology creators and disadvantaged groups, helping them integrate and develop, thereby promoting a fair and sustainable society through innovative solutions.
The Initiative’s core platform is a dedicated website, designed as a collaborative and knowledge-sharing space for stakeholders. It will bring together individuals and organizations passionate about inclusive technology to drive innovation and development for the benefit of society.
Within the framework of the Initiative, the "InclusiveTech for Social Innovation" Award is presented to honor outstanding organizations and individuals.
The award aims to encourage and disseminate inclusive technology solutions that promote learning and collaboration, while contributing to the social goals of the Initiative.
At MSF 2024, for the first time, the InclusiveTech for Social Innovation Award honored 15 outstanding initiatives. These initiatives have harnessed technology to bridge the digital divide and increase access to technology for disadvantaged and vulnerable groups across a range of sectors. The outstanding projects have opened up opportunities for broader access to technology, paving the way for sustainable and inclusive development.
Through connecting with a network of experts in various fields, the Forum provides many new perspectives and effective approaches to promote comprehensive development for organizations and businesses in a society where technology and people develop harmoniously; at the same time, providing a lot of information and objective assessments on the relationship between people and technology in the context of building a digitally inclusive society in Vietnam./.
