Tien Giang Provincial Police said that on the morning of October 13, driver Cao Thanh Son (43 years old, residing in Long Ho district, Vinh Long province) drove a truck onto a ferry across the Tien River, heading from Tan Phong to Hiep Duc (Cai Lay district).

When approaching Hiep Duc wharf, driver Son's truck suddenly rushed forward of the ferry and fell straight into the river.

At that time, the driver Son and 2 other people were in the car. All 3 people quickly escaped from the vehicle and swam to shore safely. Driver Son was injured in the hand. At the time of the accident, the truck was carrying more than 1 ton of scrap.

Upon receiving the news, Cai Be Waterway Police Station (Traffic Police Department - Tien Giang Provincial Police) and Hiep Duc Commune Police arrived at the scene.

After checking and determining the location of the fallen truck, the task force proceeded to protect the scene, ensuring safety for vehicles passing on the river.

Authorities are investigating and clarifying this traffic accident.
