Latest developments in the case of Vietnamese volleyball star Tran Thi Thanh Thuy leaving Kuzeyboru Club

Speaking with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters today (November 12), Mr. Phan Hung Cuong - Director of Binh Dien Long An Sports Company (the unit managing VTV Binh Dien Long An Club and athlete Tran Thi Thanh Thuy) said: "Up to this point, there has been no official decision on whether Tran Thi Thanh Thuy will stay or leave Kuzeyboru Club. Currently, this team has gone to Croatia to compete in the European Volleyball Cup but Thanh Thuy did not go with them. After this team completes the competition and returns to Turkey, there will be a meeting between the parties before an official decision is made."

It is almost certain that the top star of Vietnamese women's volleyball, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, will leave Kuzeyboru Club because she was not included in the coaching staff's list of registered players in the most recent match of the Turkish National Championship. In the European Volleyball Cup, where Thanh Thuy was given the opportunity to play, she scored the decisive point in the 3-1 victory over Dinamo Zagreb Club (Croatia) in the first leg, but she did not play with the team in the second leg.

Because the Turkish Volleyball Championship attracts many volleyball stars from the US, Brazil... and has a strong attacking style of play different from the persistent playing style of Asian tournaments. Therefore, Thanh Thuy will have to compete fiercely to have the opportunity to compete. The fact that Thanh Thuy has not yet achieved the best physical condition after the injury makes her chances even lower. Therefore, it is not surprising that she left Europe".

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is likely to leave Kuzeyboru Club.

Mr. Le Tri Truong - General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation said that Thanh Thuy's stay or leave with Kuzeyboru Club depends on the results of the work between the relevant parties. For its part, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation will provide maximum support to this athlete if requested.

Today, many Vietnamese volleyball fans also sent their best wishes to Tran Thi Thanh Thuy on her 27th birthday. She is the most successful Vietnamese volleyball player at both the national and club levels and has played abroad in many places from Japan, Thailand, Taiwan to Türkiye. If she leaves Kuzeyboru Club, Thanh Thuy will most likely choose to play in Japan, Korea or return to play for VTV Binh Dien Long An Club.
