"Bright spot" in studying and following Uncle Ho in the provincial armed forces

Muong Ang is honored to be one of the stops for working groups, parade forces, and marching troops to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory before arriving at Dien Bien Phu City. To prepare carefully, the Military Command of Muong Ang District participated in setting up 8 tents, 4 toilets (including 1 military medical tent, 1 repair station of the Ministry of National Defense). At the same time, forces were arranged at 7 guard posts. Thanks to the good preparation, on April 24, Muong Ang District successfully hosted 3 parades, including 253 vehicles and over 3,000 people.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Sy Luong, Militia Assistant (Muong Ang District Military Command) said: “I am very honored and proud to have contributed my small part to the preparation for the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, through preparing accommodation and stops for working groups and parade forces. Despite the hot weather, the comrades all made efforts to complete the task.”

Every year, the Military Command of Muong Ang district does a good job of educating and propagating the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State; directives and resolutions of the Central Committee, Military Region 2, the province, and the district. Well implement Directive 05 of the Politburo; Directive No. 87 of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in the Party Committee of the Army and the entire army". Organize political education and disseminate laws with 100% of the military participating in the study, over 98.8% achieving excellent results. Concretize ethical standards according to Uncle Ho's ideology and style associated with the functions and tasks of the Party Committee, Party cell, and each Party member.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Dinh Hai, Political Commissar of the Military Command of Muong Ang District, said: The unit organizes learning, thoroughly grasping, and implementing the contents of learning and following Uncle Ho in many forms suitable to the requirements of the task, so that officers and soldiers can easily remember, understand, and implement. Improve the effectiveness of traditional education, build political mettle, qualities, and revolutionary ethics for officers and soldiers. Promote the sense of responsibility and exemplary behavior of the contingent of officers and party members in promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers". Thereby, each officer, party member, and soldier, based on the task, registers the content of work following Uncle Ho in line with the assigned duties and tasks.

With the motto of "specific, practical, effective", every year the Party Committee and the District Military Command study, concretize, thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the directives and resolutions of the superiors on military and defense tasks. Regularly coordinate with agencies and units to grasp the situation, advise on effective handling of situations, strictly maintain combat readiness to avoid being passive and surprised; contribute to maintaining political security, social order and safety in the area. Do a good job of advising the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee to organize commune-level combat drills in the defense area. In 2023, the unit coordinated with forces to organize 8 times of practicing combat plans.

The district armed forces also effectively carried out the movement of gratitude, the army joined hands to build new rural areas; participated in preventing and overcoming natural disasters, floods, search and rescue, and preventing the Covid-19 epidemic, leaving many good impressions in the hearts of the people. Most recently, the program of building solidarity houses for poor households on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, officers and soldiers of the District Military Command helped people move facilities, clear the land, and build solidarity houses with a total of 675 working days.

Learning and following Uncle Ho's example is also associated by the officers and soldiers of the District Military Command with daily activities such as: planting trees, vegetables, herbal medicine, cleaning the unit; saving electricity and water...

In 2023, the District Military Party Committee was assessed to have excellently completed its tasks, with 100% of party members completing their tasks well or better. In recognition of its achievements, the Muong Ang District Military Command was awarded the title of Determined to Win Unit by the Military Region 2 Command.
