The admission score is the sum of three general exams: Math, Literature and Foreign Language, plus the specialized subject score multiplied by a coefficient of two, maximum 50. Candidates registering for a specialized class will take the specialized subject exam, except for the specialized IT class, which takes the Math exam.

Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has a benchmark score of 40 or higher for most of its specialized classes. The highest is the Chinese class with 43.3 points, an average of 8.66 points per subject. The two classes with benchmark scores below 40 at Ams are Informatics - 39.75 and Chemistry 37.95.

According to the 10th grade admission plan recently announced by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, from July 1 to July 7, educational institutions will receive student appeal applications, submit appeal applications and the list of students to the Department of Education and Training. Before 11:00 a.m. on July 5, public high schools will announce the list of entrance exam results for grade 10 for the 2023-2024 school year. From 1:30 p.m. on July 5 to July 7, candidates will confirm their admission online or in person.

From 1:30 p.m. on July 5 to July 7, public and private high schools, vocational and continuing education centers will allow candidates to confirm their enrollment directly and receive their admission applications in accordance with regulations.

The 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi took place over three days, June 10-12, with more than 104,000 students, of whom about 10,000 registered for specialized classes. Successful candidates will enroll in the three days, July 5-7. If the quota is not met, schools will start recruiting additional students from July 10, accepting students from July 11 to 14.
