The information was shared by Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh - Head of the Tran Temple Relic Management Board - on the sidelines of a press conference to inform about the Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival in the spring of Giap Thin, taking place in Nam Dinh City on the afternoon of January 26.
"Please stay calm"
As in previous years, the Tran Temple's opening ceremony was held on the night of January 14, reserved for delegates.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh - Head of Tran Temple Relic Management Board - information about the festival
The ceremony of distributing seals to people and tourists from all over will start at 5am the next morning, the 15th day of the first lunar month, at the three Giai Vu houses and the exhibition house of Trung Hoa temple.
Mr. Binh said this year's opening ceremony takes place on the weekend, and a large number of tourists are expected.
"The organizing committee will try to ensure the quantity of seals so that people can receive the seals," he said.
The head of the Tran Temple Relic Management Board told the people: "There is no need to rush to gather in large numbers on the night of the 14th and early morning of the 15th."
The organizers ask that "people stay calm and avoid sudden curious crowds, causing chaos and affecting the safety, security and order of the festival."
According to Mr. Binh, the organizing committee will serve all needs of the people and tourists, from offering incense, attending ceremonies to receiving the first jade seal of spring from January 13 to 15 and the following days in January.
This year, 2,000 officers and soldiers will participate in security at the festival. Pictured is the area where the palanquin was carried at last year's festival.
Security work "will be softer"
During last year's festival, it was noted that during the entire ceremony, only delegates and journalists were allowed access to the palanquin area.
Although there were hundreds of police officers guarding the perimeter, dozens of police and riot police were still deployed around this area, causing a somewhat suffocating feeling.
To avoid the chaos of previous years, ensuring security and order in the following festival seasons is necessary.
But how can people participate in the festival with the most comfortable mentality?
Is there any "weaponization" of the festival? How has the organizers planned to ensure security and order this year?
Lieutenant Colonel Dao Ngoc Duong, Deputy Head of Nam Dinh City Police - said that like previous years, this year there will be about 2,000 officers, soldiers, civil guards... participating in ensuring security and order on the opening night (from 6:00 p.m. on the 14th until the end of the opening ceremony).
A representative of the city police said: "The work of protecting the jade palanquin requires solemnity and ensures the highest level of safety."
"We will also assign officers and soldiers to protect the palanquin, but we will reduce the number of soldiers a bit compared to previous years while still ensuring safety," said Lieutenant Colonel Duong.
"We will be more flexible in protecting the jade seal," added a city police representative.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu - Vice Chairwoman of Nam Dinh City People's Committee, head of the festival organizing committee - added that in previous years, there was a phenomenon of people jostling, pushing, and running after each other to ask for blessings, making the procession of the palanquin not solemn, so last year the security force came up with such a plan.
Every year, the organizing committee establishes two interdisciplinary inspection teams to deal with begging at the festival and the exchange of small change, to monitor vehicles that are not in compliance with regulations, and to avoid counterfeit or violent toys sold around the festival area.
This year, this group will be on duty from the first day of Tet until the 29th of January.
