Businesses that want to develop healthily must fight against violations and negativity.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Head of the Central Propaganda Department - said that the current business community consists of millions of people, with nearly 920,000 enterprises, including international enterprises such as Viettel, PVN, Vietcombank, Vinfast, Vinamilk, Thaco Truong Hai. However, Mr. Nghia also frankly stated that most of the enterprises are small in scale, with limited competitiveness, operational efficiency, and management skills. The business community has not really met the requirements of the new era, especially the business ethics, awareness of law compliance, social responsibility, and national spirit of a number of business people are not high, and some business people even violate the law. "The situation of businesses and entrepreneurs colluding with officials at all levels, especially officials with positions and power, to commit acts such as corruption, negativity, appropriation, causing loss and waste of the budget, assets and resources of the State and people, even creating an unhealthy business environment, is still happening," Mr. Nghia emphasized. According to Mr. Nghia: "Many cases, many localities, including central comrades, including comrades in the Politburo who violated the law, all have problems from enterprises. This is a painful problem, but we must resolutely overcome it. Many corruption cases are especially serious, complicated, and have been lingering for a long time, occurring in specialized, closed, systematic, and organized fields, occurring in both the state and non-state sectors, causing huge losses in assets, affecting the stability of the economy, causing public outrage. We can mention a number of cases that occurred in corporations such as FLC, Tan Hoang Minh, Van Thinh Phat, Viet A Company, AIC Company, Xuyen Viet Oil Company, SCB Bank, Phuc Son Group, Thuan An Group, which are currently of great public interest." Building business ethics and culture, promoting national spirit, and arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country, according to Mr. Nghia, is therefore a particularly important, central, and long-term task of the Vietnamese business community. Enterprises need to thoroughly grasp Resolution 41 of the Politburo, focusing on issues such as valuing corporate culture, associating it with traditional national values. In addition, enterprises and businessmen need to be clearly aware of the impacts and unpredictable consequences of corruption and negativity, thereby resolutely implementing the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity among the people. It is necessary to promote positivity and push back negativity in production and business. Each enterprise must say no to acts that violate the law and business ethics, causing harm to society, the country and the enterprise itself. The Head of the Central Propaganda Department also affirmed that in order to develop healthily, it is necessary to fight against negativity and violations. Fraudulent business and poor quality goods are very dangerous. Businesses need to join associations to share standards and good practices on business integrity. Thereby, protecting businesses that are victims of corruption, denouncing businesses that use corruption for personal gain, causing harm to other businesses.
