On May 24, Cau Giay District Police (Hanoi) detained Phung Tri Dung (born 2003, residing in Phu Dien, Bac Tu Liem District) to investigate the act of property theft.

Previously, on the evening of May 17, because he needed money for personal expenses, Dung stole his cousin's Honda Vision motorbike that was left at home and pawned it at alley 163 Pham Van Dong for 4.4 million VND.

At around 9pm the same day, Dung continued to pawn his family’s unregistered Honda Vision motorbike for 15 million VND and then redeemed his cousin’s motorbike. The young man spent all of this money.

When he brought the car home, Dung saw that no one was there, so he pawned it again. On the morning of May 18, because he wanted to get his car back, Dung called the 113 Police force to report that it had been stolen in Lane 163 Pham Van Dong, Mai Dich Ward, Cau Giay District.

Police force 113 of Cau Giay District Police and Mai Dich Ward Police went to the scene to inspect and confiscate 2 motorbikes.

Then, Dung went to Mai Dich Ward Police to confess his theft.

Cau Giay District Police are consolidating the case and handling it according to regulations.
