According to teachers' assessment, compared to the official exam in 2023 and the reference exam, the official exam in 2024 has a similar level of difficulty. However, the content of this year's History exam has new points, such as questions 32 and 37, code 309, giving students a passage of information and requiring them to answer the question based on the passage of information.
This type of question is assessed by teachers of the HOCMAI Education System as being close to the way the exam will be set in 2025 (according to the structure and format of the graduation exam from 2025 announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on December 29, 2023).
The History exam has 90% of the total questions in the exam from grade 12 knowledge and 10% from grade 11 knowledge - including 2 questions from Vietnamese history and 2 questions from world history.
The test has a high proportion of recognition, comprehension, application, and application questions equivalent to the 2024 reference test of the Ministry of Education and Training, but is highly classified due to the increased difficulty of the high-level application questions.
80% of the recognition and understanding questions are basic knowledge, the interference between the options is not high, candidates can easily choose the correct answer. Besides, there are still questions related to determining the location of the country, or revolutionary movements (related to Geography knowledge), for example question 9, question 15 (code 309).
20% of the questions are application and high-level application questions, spread across Vietnamese history topics from 1919 to 1975, with no questions from world history.
The questions mainly revolve around comparison (4 questions: 31, 34, 39, 40 code 309), interdisciplinary (question 29 - code 310), relating knowledge of world history, Vietnamese history or commenting, summarizing the whole historical period to find out the characteristics.
"In particular, there are 3 questions about the contents related to Nguyen Ai Quoc's activities in different periods. In the new 12th grade History program, the content related to Ho Chi Minh is also one of the important topics, showing the closeness in content to the curriculum and exam questions next year" - the teacher commented.
