On November 11, a source from VietNamNet said that the Hoa Binh High Voltage Grid Enterprise (LĐCT) has requested the police to strictly handle the violations of the Hanoi City Paragliding Team and individuals violating the safety corridor of the high voltage grid.

Specifically, at 3:05 p.m. on November 9, Hoa Binh High Voltage Grid Enterprise received a report that a paraglider was caught on the 110kV line 172 E10.9 Xuan Mai - 172 E19.5 at poles 54 to 55.

After receiving the news, Hoa Binh High Voltage Grid Enterprise sent the Line Operation Management Team to the scene and coordinated with the People's Committee of Nam Phuong Tien Commune (Chuong My District, Hanoi) and the Commune Police to handle and rescue the victim to ensure safety at 4:50 p.m.

This incident has seriously affected the power supply and safety of the power grid, causing disorder and security in the area.

Hoa Binh High Voltage Grid Enterprise reported to Hoa Binh Electricity Company and requested an emergency power cut on line 172 E10.9 Xuan Mai - 172 E19.5 from 4:46 p.m. to 5:12 p.m. to carry out rescue work.

The paraglider, Mr. NCT (28 years old, residing in Vinh City, Nghe An Province), said that at around 3:00 p.m. on November 9, he parachuted from the top of Bu 833 Hill, at an altitude of 800m, to a field in Nam Phuong Tien Commune, Chuong My District, Hanoi. After flying for about 2km, the paraglider got stuck on a 110kV high-voltage power line.

The incident of the paraglider getting entangled in the power line 172 E10.9 Xuan Mai - 172 E19.5 at column 54 to 55 violated Section 3, Article 4 of Decree No. 14/2014/ND-CP dated February 26, 2014 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Electricity Law on electrical safety.

Previously, on October 20, a similar incident occurred in Quyet Tien hamlet, Quang Tien commune, Hoa Binh city. Mr. Nguyen Hoang H. (residing in Hoa Binh city) used a parachute and accidentally fell into a 35kV power line, causing a power outage on lines 371 and 373 of Go Roi T/C.
