At the meeting, EVN representatives reported an overview of the electricity supply situation, electricity saving programs and investment in construction of electricity projects in the province.
Accordingly, Quang Tri currently has 33 power plants and 151 rooftop solar power systems in operation with a total capacity of 1,119.5 MW.
During the 2024 - 2025 period, it is expected that 4 wind power plants with a total capacity of 156 MW and 7 hydropower plants with a total capacity of 93 MW will come into commercial operation.
The whole province currently has 128 km of 220 kV lines; 2 220 kV stations are Dong Ha and Lao Bao 220 kV transformer stations.
As of April 2024, Quang Tri Power Company manages and operates 335.21 km of 110kV lines; 8 110kV transformer stations; 2,160.3 km of medium-voltage lines; 2,357 load transformer stations; 3,948 km of low-voltage lines; 217,143 electricity customers.
Regarding the electricity supply situation, in recent times, the Central Power Corporation (EVN CPC) has ensured electricity supply in the province with increasingly improved quality and service.
In particular, the average growth rate of commercial electricity output in the province in the period of 2021-2023 is 6.93%/year; commercial electricity in 2023 reached 830 million kWh compared to the previous year; in the first 4 months of 2024, the cumulative commercial electricity reached 257.2 million kWh, an increase of 9.94% over the same period in 2023.
