On October 2, in Hung Yen province, the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises organized the 15th Northern Region Business Cooperation-Linkage and Development Forum in 2024 with the theme "Joining hands, unanimity - cooperation towards a new era," with the participation of many provincial associations and enterprises from provinces and cities in the Northern region.
Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises Nguyen Van Than said that the Forum for Cooperation, Linkage and Enterprise Development in the Northern Region is an annual activity organized by the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises to connect member associations and member enterprises in production, business and investment promotion; at the same time, it is a channel connecting with central and local ministries, branches in the region to solve difficulties and problems for enterprises.
At the forum, delegates focused on discussing issues related to strengthening connections between businesses in the Red River Delta; experiences in improving the protection of legitimate rights and interests for members; small and medium enterprises in the era of national development, cooperation and association for sustainable development; the role of small and medium enterprise associations in socio-economic development, etc.
According to the Chairwoman of the Hung Yen Provincial Business Association, Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha, in recent years, the Red River Delta in general and Hung Yen province in particular have had strong socio-economic development, especially in terms of transport infrastructure with many national highways and expressways being formed. This is a favorable condition for connecting businesses in the region to develop production and business.
Currently, strengthening linkages between enterprises in the region still faces some challenges. Some enterprises in the same field may not be willing to link up due to concerns about competition; enterprises have different scales and production capacities, making it difficult to find a common voice.
Therefore, in the coming time, Associations and businesses in the region need to proactively build networks, creating opportunities for businesses in the region to meet, exchange and cooperate.
Local authorities need to promote the development of inter-regional industrial parks; promote training and improve management capacity for businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, to help them access new cooperation and development opportunities.
Sharing experiences in improving the protection of legal rights and interests for members, Vice President of Bac Giang Provincial Business Association Tran Anh Tuan shared that in recent years, Bac Giang has become a new industrial center, a growth pole in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region; economic growth rate is always among the top in the country.
The number of enterprises in the province has increased rapidly, currently more than 18,000 units with registered capital of about 140,000 billion VND.
According to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, along with the rapid development of the business community and the attention of local authorities, the Bac Giang Provincial Business Association has grown rapidly and sustainably.
In order to become a solid "bridge" between the provincial business community and the government, in recent times, the Provincial Business Association has performed well its task of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members, so that this is truly a "common home" for businesses.
Mr. Tuan Anh shared that recently, the Provincial Business Association has built information channels to quickly grasp the difficulties and problems, as well as the proposals and recommendations of its members. The receipt and processing of petitions from businesses is carried out very quickly, systematically and urgently.
Since the beginning of 2023, the Association has compiled nearly 300 petitions and proposals from businesses and sent them to competent authorities for resolution.
Periodically, the Association advises the Provincial People's Committee to organize direct dialogues with the business community; organize 6 dialogues between provincial leaders and businesses, to immediately resolve difficulties and problems for businesses regarding: access to credit, lack of land for foundation, high price list of raw materials, lack of electricity for production, difficulties in site clearance, insecurity and order, difficulties in implementing fire prevention and fighting procedures.
