The whole province has 20 cultural heritages included in the list of national intangible cultural heritages, an increase of 2 heritages compared to the beginning of the period; organized 35 cultural and artistic activities for the masses, exceeding 169% of the plan; tourists reached nearly 1.37 million arrivals (exceeding 12.5% of the annual plan, 2.19 times higher than the same period last year); total revenue from tourism activities reached nearly 2,480 billion VND (2.26 times higher than the same period last year)...
From the results achieved in the first 6 months of the year, delegates discussed and contributed many ideas to better complete the tasks in the second half of the year. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism determined to continue to strive to complete all targets and tasks for developing the culture, sports and tourism career in 2024 with many specific tasks and solutions for each field. On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 21 individuals of the Department for their outstanding achievements in 2023, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality; awarded the title of Emulation Flag for leading the emulation bloc and cluster of affiliated units in 2023 to the Provincial Museum. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 individuals of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien for their achievements in organizing and implementing tasks to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory. The Department awarded Certificates of Merit to 25 collectives, 153 individuals, and 2 households for their outstanding achievements in carrying out activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.
