According to Neowin , after a long delay, Warhammer: 40,000 Darktide has officially announced a release date for the Xbox platform. Accordingly, developer Fatshark has just shared on page X that the first-person shooter will land on Xbox Series X/S consoles on October 4.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is coming to Xbox in early October
Previously, Games Workshop's co-op shooter set in the Warhammer 40K series was set to release for PC on November 30, 2022. The game was also supposed to launch on Microsoft's Xbox consoles on the same day, but Fatshark later announced that the Xbox version would be delayed.
The PC game then received mostly average reviews and gamers also encountered some bugs and technical issues.
Then in January 2023, Fatshark announced that it would be delaying the Xbox version indefinitely to focus on updating the PC version to address issues players were having with the game. Since then, Fatshark has released a number of patches for the PC version, with the latest one just released earlier this month.
With the announcement of a release date for Xbox, it seems that Fatshark believes they have fixed many of the issues gamers have had with Warhammer 40,000: Darktide in order to launch on consoles.
