The first season of Vietnam Next-Gen Fashion, organized by director Long Kan on the afternoon of October 9 in Ho Chi Minh City, attracted the attention of a large public.
The program brings eye-catching performances, bearing the creative imprint of the collections of 37 young designers from 10 fashion universities across the country.

With a huge collection, the male fashion director cleverly divided the show into 2 chapters. The first chapter focuses on the topics of the flow of contemporary folk fashion, Art & Street Style, Haute Couture ; the second chapter introduces the impressive collection of designer Le Thanh Hoa called Beyond Deadlines.

What does director Long Kan say about risk?
"Creating a catwalk for young design talents instead of famous designers can be considered a risk and a challenge for me. However, when I go to universities and see the graduation collections with my own eyes, I believe that these young people will go very far. They just need a launching pad to develop and this catwalk is the catwalk of life, the starting point for them to step out of school into real life," Long Kan shared.
The director believes that with his extensive experience in the profession and the support of long-time colleagues, he can help young designers open up opportunities to meet, connect and start a business.

Among the 37 potential young fashion houses, there are 12 valedictorians and many salutatorians from 10 fashion universities across the country, including: Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Hanoi University of Architecture, HUTECH University, Van Lang University, Hanoi Open University, Hanoi University of Textile and Garment, University of Industrial Fine Arts, Hoa Sen University, University of Technical Education and Ton Duc Thang University.
Miss Cosmo 2024 1st Runner-up Karnruethai Tassabut presents designs from the Sustainability Award-winning collection by designer Le Cao Hoang Linh from Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture.

The Beyond Deadlines collection by designer Le Thanh Hoa includes 30 new designs. Inspired by the journey of conquering fashion, the collection of the senior designer faced a deadline of only 2 weeks - an extremely short deadline, requiring creativity, organization and optimal time management from each member of the team.
Beyond Deadlines is faithful to the Vietnamese fashion house's hand-embellished technique of creating blocks and shapes. The designs use a variety of materials, from sequins, stones, beads to feathers or belts arranged in different shapes and structures, ensuring the interest in each design.

Thanh Hang wore a design by Le Thanh Hoa on the red carpet. With his continuous creative contributions to Vietnamese fashion for more than a decade, the 8X male designer was awarded the title of Vietnam Next-Gen Fashion Legend for the first season.

The organizers also announced the top 10 new designers including: Le Hoang Nam, Nguyen Tien Do, Nguyen Thanh Hiep, Tong Thi Nhan, Pham Hien Trang, Ta Thanh Nhat, Tran Thanh Phuong, Pham Thi Hang Nga, Le Huynh Nhu and Bui Thu Giang.
