The Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a conference to quickly announce the results of the 9th Central Conference, 13th term.

On the morning of May 29, at the Ministry's headquarters, comrade Nguyen Minh Vu, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee chaired a conference to quickly inform key officials of the 9th Central Conference, term XIII.

Attending the Conference were members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, members of the Executive Committee of the Ministry's Party Committee, heads of units in the Ministry, representatives of Party Committees and Party cells under the Ministry's Party Committee, leaders of departments and units, representatives of the Executive Committee of the Ministry's Trade Union, Youth Union of the Ministry...

The conference was held in person at the Ministry's Headquarters, No. 1 Ton That Dam, and online at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Office, No. 2 Le Quang Dao.

At the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu conveyed some basic contents, meanings and importance of the 9th Central Conference, 13th tenure. He also highlighted new points in the draft documents and applied them to the activities of the country's Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs sector.

Accordingly, after 3 days of serious and urgent work, the Conference completed all the proposed program content.

The conference reached high consensus on the guiding ideology and orientation to complete the Outline and draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party, such as: Detailed outline of the Political Report of the 13th Party Central Committee at the 14th National Congress of the Party;

Detailed outline of the Report on the assessment of 5 years of implementing the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2021-2030, directions and tasks for socio-economic development for 5 years 2026-2030;

Outline of the Report of the 13th Party Central Committee on summarizing Party building work and implementing the Party's Charter to be presented to the 14th Party Congress;

Summary report of Directive No. 35-CT/TW, dated May 30, 2019 of the Politburo and draft Directive of the Politburo on party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

The viewpoint in drafting documents is to inherit and closely follow the Platform, Resolution of the 13th National Congress, Resolutions of the 13th Central Committee and the country's reality to objectively, scientifically and comprehensively assess issues, especially newly arising complex issues.

The conference also stated that in the new development period with new momentum, new motivation, as well as new opportunities, advantages, difficulties and challenges intertwined, we are determined to build our country to be increasingly rich, democratic, prosperous, civilized, happy, and steadily moving towards socialism.

The conference democratically discussed and gave directions on the preparation for Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress. The Party Central Committee also considered and decided on a number of important issues regarding personnel work.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu also emphasized some new points of this Conference to apply to foreign affairs activities. That is to introduce the theory of the country's renovation policy, add elements of environmental protection, human development and promote foreign affairs as a regular and important task, promote people's strength, firmly pursue strategic goals but be flexible in strategy.

That is to promote the development of science, technology and innovation, encourage the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, daring to make breakthroughs in development; fundamentally and comprehensively innovate personnel work, attract, nurture, develop and make good use of talents; and build infrastructure for digital transformation, green transformation, energy transformation, to truly create breakthroughs in development.

Foreign affairs work is expected to be higher, so the whole sector needs to make more efforts, especially to protect the Fatherland early and from afar; to protect the highest national interests and for the happiness of the people; to promote diplomacy for development as a regular and important task; to strengthen multilateral diplomacy, promote the effectiveness of high-level diplomacy and specialized diplomacy, further improve local foreign affairs work, and attach importance to party building work...

Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu requested that Party committees and heads of units carefully study the content and disseminate the results of the Conference to all cadres, Party members and the masses in their units. From there, create unity in perception and action, promote the spirit of solidarity and unity to effectively implement the Resolutions and Conclusions of the 9th Central Conference, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, and excellently complete all assigned tasks.
