On December 28 and 30, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a conference to review and evaluate the collective and individual members of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2024.

Comrade Bui Thanh Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs chaired the Conference.
Attending the event were representatives of the Party Central Office, the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Inspection Committee, the Central Internal Affairs Committee, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and leaders of several key units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Opinions expressed at the Conference assessed that in the context of the complicated and unpredictable developments in the world, region and country in 2024, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has united, determined, made efforts, and creatively led and directed the synchronous and comprehensive implementation of both foreign affairs tasks and the building of the diplomatic sector, achieving many important results, contributing to making foreign affairs continue to become a bright spot in the country's overall achievements, towards the era of national development.
The leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee is implemented effectively, scientifically and systematically with specific plans and programs, focusing on key points, closely following the Party's foreign policy, resolutions, conclusions and directions of the Central Committee, Politburo, Secretariat, Government, Party and State leaders, but also flexibly and promptly adjusting to the developments of the situation, along with strengthening inspection, supervision and urging.
In addition to the positive and outstanding results achieved, the Party Executive Committee and each individual member of the Party Executive Committee were also frank, open-minded, seriously self-examined, pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in leadership, direction, and implementation, on that basis, drew lessons and proposed directions, measures to overcome, and key tasks that need to be focused on in leadership and direction in 2025.

Concluding the Conference, Comrade Bui Thanh Son requested the Party Executive Committee to continue to make efforts and be determined to lead and direct the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to successfully complete the political tasks assigned by the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Government in 2025, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025.
Comrade Bui Thanh Son also requested the Party Executive Committee to promote collective intelligence with the highest determination to effectively implement the policy of streamlining the apparatus, arranging staff reasonably, building a team of diplomatic staff to meet the requirements and tasks in the new development period, drastically promoting administrative reform associated with digital transformation, implementing e-government; well organizing party congresses at all levels, towards the 29th Congress of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
