On the afternoon of June 26, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee held a conference to review Party work and political work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2023.
In the first 6 months of 2023, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee has proposed many specific, practical and effective policies and solutions, and directed units to successfully complete assigned tasks. Notably, the situation of territorial sovereignty , border security and maritime zones is basically stable, and the relationship between the two sides of the Vietnam-China border continues to be consolidated and developed. The subordinate units have proactively done a good job of grasping the situation, strengthening patrols and controls on the border and maritime zones; effectively handling violations of border and border gate management regulations.
Along with that, the work of preventing crime, smuggling, illegal immigration, especially before and during the Lunar New Year, has been strengthened. The work of mobilizing the masses, propagating and disseminating laws and the Vietnam Border Law to people in border areas has been effectively implemented by units in the provincial Border Guard, contributing practically to building an increasingly solid people's border defense posture...
The conference also pointed out some remaining shortcomings and limitations, and approved key tasks for the last 6 months of 2023. That is, continuing to synchronously and comprehensively deploy working measures to firmly manage and protect national border security and sovereignty; develop specific plans and projects to effectively implement Party building work, while seriously implementing the province's 2023 working theme; strengthen coordination with border forces and localities to proactively advise the province to properly handle arising issues...
The Provincial Border Guard Party Committee also requested its affiliated units to continue to grasp the border security situation both on land and at sea, rural security, promptly detect and handle, not to be passive and surprised by any situation; closely coordinate to manage foreigners entering the area for sightseeing, tourism, exploitation, purchase and processing of aquatic products; continue to propagate to the people not to exploit aquatic products by destructive and illegal methods (anti-IUU). At the same time, promptly advise the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee on important issues, do a good job of controlling entry and exit, ensuring security and order, maintaining traffic at border gates and seaports, ensuring smoothness, compliance with professional procedures and laws.
