The 94th anniversary of the Party's founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024) is also the time when the country welcomes the Year of the Dragon. "Celebrating the Party, celebrating Spring, celebrating the Country" - the harmony between nature and people, the nation; the convergence of pride, excitement and strength. At this very meaningful moment, our hearts are calm, returning to the heroic history to hope, reaching for the future.

In the dark night of colonialism and feudalism, the path of proletarian revolution was spread by Nguyen Ai Quoc to Vietnam like “the sun of truth shining through the heart”, encouraging good seeds to germinate, forming the first 3 communist organizations. In the situation of “no homeland, facing hardships”, the conference to establish the Party, approving the brief Platform took place in “a foreign land”.

Less than a year old, the Party led the revolutionary movement of the Nghe Tinh Soviet (1930-1931). Then came the challenge of overcoming the revolutionary movements of 1936-1939 and 1939-1945. Then, at the age of 15, with nearly 5,000 Party members, leading the entire nation to successfully carry out the "earth-shaking, heaven-shaking" August Revolution in 1945, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945), putting Vietnam in the ranks of the world's pioneering nations in the struggle to eliminate colonialism, for peace, independence, democracy and social progress.

Before enjoying peace, the Party shouldered the mission of leading the entire people to conduct two 30-year resistance wars, defeating “two great empires”. The liberation of the South, the country reunited, “forever recorded in the history of the nation as the most brilliant page… entering the world as a great feat of the 20th century, an event of great international importance and profound contemporary significance”.

Having just emerged from the resistance war, Vietnam had to face a new war. Under the leadership of the Party, our entire army and people both restored the socio-economy and fought to protect the border, independence and sovereignty; despite the siege and embargo, we still alone fulfilled our international obligations, helping the Cambodian people escape genocide and revive the country.

The socio-economic crisis in the post-war years and the storms and undercurrents from the collapse of the socialist model in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe could sweep away everything we had achieved. In that context, the renovation policy initiated at the 6th National Congress (December 1986), continuously supplemented and developed from the 7th National Congress (June 1991) to the 13th National Congress (January 2021), brought the country through the challenge of survival. We remain steadfast, steady, continue to innovate, innovate, and constantly develop on the path chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho, the Vietnamese nation and people.

Since the 13th National Congress, the world has undergone many rapid, complex, and unpredictable developments, with new challenges and “headwinds” emerging. Under the Party’s leadership, the country has remained steadfast, achieving great and comprehensive results in many areas.

The macro economy is basically stable, inflation and public debt are under control, major balances of the economy are guaranteed, GDP growth is among the top in the region and the world, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) at a high level, a bright spot in the world economy. Culture continues to be focused on building, achieving many important results, promoting its role as "the spiritual foundation of society, endogenous strength, driving force for national development and national defense". The fight against corruption and negativity is carried out methodically, synchronously, resolutely, achieving clear results, in the spirit of "... cutting off rotten branches to save the whole tree", "... disciplining a few people to save thousands".

National defense and security were consolidated and enhanced, independence and sovereignty were maintained, and the risk of conflict and war was prevented early and from afar. The foreign policy of the 13th National Congress was thoroughly and seriously grasped, implemented synchronously, and achieved many important and historic results, becoming an impressive highlight in the overall achievements of the country, contributing significantly to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, facilitating socio-economic development, and enhancing the country's international position and prestige.

That achievement is a vivid proof of the assessment of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong: "Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, prestige and international position as today". Many international organizations, politicians and scholars have recognized Vietnam as a star in the region and is rising to become a country with global economic influence; a model in many aspects; one of the most attractive destinations, one of the pioneering countries in developing a green and smart economy.

For 94 years, the Party has led the country and people to overcome countless challenges, opening the Ho Chi Minh era, bringing Vietnam into a new era: the era of independence, freedom and socialism. In this sacred moment, we remember even more Uncle Ho's words at the 30th Anniversary of the Party's founding (January 5, 1960): "Our Party is morality, is civilization" . Eight words that crystallize and deeply summarize the nature, mettle, mission, intelligence, stature, strength and greatness of the Party.

“Our Party is moral” because the highest and only purpose of the Party is to lead the struggle for national liberation, social liberation, and human liberation; to make the country independent, peaceful, and the people prosperous, free, and happy; to unite and be friendly with the peoples of the world, standing shoulder to shoulder with the advanced countries of the five continents. The Party always builds, rectifys, cultivates, and trains; looks straight at the truth, struggles with self-criticism and criticism, overcomes shortcomings; draws profound lessons, maintains the roots and moral foundation, to always be clean and strong. The Party exists among the people, closely attached to the people.

The Party is civilized because it represents conscience, intelligence, scientific, revolutionary and developmental thinking; correctly assesses the situation and grasps the laws of the times. The Party always closely follows reality, creatively applies Marxism-Leninism to the specific conditions of Vietnam, and sets out appropriate guidelines and strategies. The Party leads, governs and operates within the framework of the Constitution and laws, not standing outside or above the nation. The Party has transparent international relations, harmonizing national and ethnic interests with the interests of the international community, between rights and responsibilities, contributing to peace, friendship, cooperation and development of the world and the region.

The Party's morality and civilization do not come naturally, but are the result of the education, training, and testing of many generations. The Party, with its outstanding, pioneering members, is ready to sacrifice themselves in times of peace and war, leading the nation and people to create miracles, writing a "golden history". The history of the Party, the history of the nation, and the country proves Uncle Ho's proud affirmation: "With all the modest spirit of a revolutionary, we still have the right to say: Our Party is truly great ".

The more proud we are, the more we remember his warning: “A nation, a party and each individual, who were great and had great appeal yesterday, are not necessarily loved and praised by everyone today and tomorrow, if their hearts are no longer pure, if they fall into individualism”. A number of cadres and party members “self-evolve”, “self-transform”, have degraded morality and lifestyle, pursue group interests, are corrupt, wasteful, and negative; fall behind, lose their way, avoid, and push. They lose their pioneering role, their moral and civilized values fade, and they exclude themselves from the ranks, causing a number of people to lose confidence in the Party.

The Resolution of the 13th National Congress reflects the aspiration of the nation, striving to make Vietnam a developed, high-income country by 2045. This is an extremely great revolutionary cause, "a giant battle", as Uncle Ho taught. It requires the entire Party, all Party organizations and Party members to make greater efforts, be more courageous and wise. Continue to build a Party that is truly exemplary in morality and civilization, truly clean and strong in the new conditions. This is a key task, linked to the survival of the Party and the rise and fall of the country.

Thoroughly grasp and actively implement the Party building work in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress: "...especially attach importance to and further promote the comprehensive Party building and rectification in terms of politics, ideology, organization and cadres". In which, Party building in terms of ethics is the "foundation", the "root" for the Party to be clean and strong. Strengthen close ties with the people, promote the people's supervisory role with cadres and Party members. Always "preserve solidarity within the Party like preserving the apple of one's eye".

On that basis, study and practice to improve the Party's political mettle, intelligence, fighting spirit, leadership and governing capacity, and build Party culture. Implement well the guiding motto "6 dares": "Dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to speak, dare to break through, be creative and dare to face difficulties and challenges".

Celebrating the Party's founding anniversary, our hearts are clearer and more proud. It gives us more strength, vows to preserve and promote the Party's ethical and civilized values; strive to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress, to forever be proud: " Our Party is truly great ".
