The actors of Beauty and the Beast are excited to come to Vietnam for the first time.

The pantomime show Beauty and the Beast (Vietnamese title: Beauty and the Beast ) not only brings a familiar fairy tale with a creative way of telling it, but also brings the audience closer to the international theater culture - pantomime, a form of comedy combining music and traditional interaction in the UK . The show is staged by a talented crew from the UK, including director Paul Winterford, female lead Charlotte Castle as Belle, Tom Liggins as the beast, Michael Auger (champion of British's Got Talent 2014) as Gaston, and the music comes from international artists.

At the press conference introducing the play Beauty and the Beast held in Ho Chi Minh City, the atmosphere became lively when students interacted with the crew and watched an excerpt of the play. Director Paul Winterford said he was very happy to witness the excitement of Vietnamese children for the play. He said: "The special thing about pantomime is its high interactivity, with no walls separating the actors and the audience. We always try to make everyone, especially children, feel like they are part of the story. Vietnam is a potential market for this type of play to develop, and I hope to bring more plays in the future."

The cast enjoyed interacting with young audiences in Ho Chi Minh City.

Meanwhile, actress Charlotte Castle - the female lead who plays Belle, shared: "When I transform into Belle, I not only act but also convey a message about the power of love and kindness. With this role, I want children in Vietnam to understand that true beauty comes from the heart and kindness, not appearance."

More than just entertainment, pantomime is also a powerful way to educate children to develop comprehensively. Through lively dialogues, children practice their language skills and how to express their ideas. Creative content and unexpected situations stimulate their imagination, while direct interaction with actors helps children improve their communication skills and increase their confidence. In particular, the friendly and safe environment in pantomime plays encourages children to dare to express themselves, bringing them memorable experiences.

According to the organizers, the play is a form of education through art.

Ms. Do Thu Giang, Director of AMO Vietnam - the organizer of the play Beauty and the beast, expressed: "We believe that art is not only entertainment but also an effective educational method. When bringing Beauty and the beast to Vietnam, I want children to not only watch an international quality play but also feel the world view and discover new things from British culture."

Panto Beauty and the Beast is scheduled to take place at Hoa Binh Theater (HCMC) from December 6 to 8 and Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace (Hanoi) from December 13 to 15.
